Traffic on the way back from work was mindblowingly slow, so I took a detour.
To the Rutgers Gardens. :)
First time using a dslr. Eric dropped it off at my house last night.
I'm not completely sure how to use it yet.
All I know is to press the focus button or turn the manual focus thing, turn that big wheel to adjust the aperture size, and turn that small wheel to adjust exposure level (right?)
...and that that thing is HEAVY. Sore arms.
Whew, what an experience. Too much fun.
Too tired to edit and too many to edit...maybe I'll do some of that later.
Original captures, NOT P&S or Cellphone Shot :)
In the order I shot them in (you'l notice the pictures change from cloudy to sunset to dusk.)
Right photo: These flowers reminded me of berries. Cute, I've never seen those before.
Spotted: Butterfly Number 1. :)
Not a great frame for the bird, but I had one shot before she flew away. Had to go for it!
If you click on the photo and zoom in, you can see how pretty she is.
On right: These two white butterflies were chasing each other, I had to catch them!
I was frantically snapping, trying to follow these two through the viewfinder, so much
that I didn't mind exposure or composition or anything. Noob.
Hello Butterflies Number Two and Three. :)
These flowers looked like little purple swans. It was really pretty.
Right photo: I spy a chipmunk.
I heard him rustling the leaves behind me and I turned to spot this cutie.
On right: The Whomping Willow exists! Haha jk, all you Harry Potter fans.
But what a beautiful tree! So much movement.
Left and Right: Hello Butterfly Number Four. :)
Ooh I wish I could have captured your perfect Monarch pattern upclose before you flew away. :(
This photoshoot was an incredible blessing. Thank you Lord.
A solid effort. I still have a lot to learn.
